About The Event
So you've forged a knife-like object... Now what??? This Member Forging Day event will take you through the next steps of the knife making process, including Normalizing, Annealing, and Rough Grinding. Learn what takes place when Normalizing & Annealing and why we do it. Get familiar with the 2"x72" grinder, and learn the basics of Rough Grinding a blade. Participants should leave with a blade that is ready for heat treatment and quenching (rough ground to 120 grit). Class cost includes 3 belts (1- 36 grit, 1-60 grit, & 1- 120 grit), all other needed supplies. You will need to bring your own Forged Blade, Respirator, and Safety Glasses in order to participate. All Members are welcome to Observe and ask questions. There are only 4 available spaces for this session. Class Instructor: Ed Clarke

Ticket includes 3 grinding belts (1- 36 grit, 1- 60 grit, 1- 120 grit), forge/fuel use any other needed supplies, and Instruction. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN FORGED BLADE, RESPIRATOR, and SAFETY GLASSES to participate.
